Soul Rise

Holistic Counseling

It’s time to break the mold and live a life you love!  Let’s explore the patterns, wounds and limiting beliefs that keep you stuck in a rut, and make space for your soul’s truest embodiment.

When we are truly present with each other and authentically honest in our expression, we create intimacy that heals. My therapeutic approach is rooted in my deep belief in your innate ability to thrive, and it is my honor and joy to support you on that journey.

Services

  • Conventional therapy, 50 minute sessions. My approach is largely informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Theory, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness and gratitude-based practices, and breathing techniques.

  • Walk and talk sessions (meeting up on the Greenbelt or a park), or other activities that would suit a therapeutic process. Share your ideas and we can see what works! Is there a challenge you would like to face together? Or would you like to have a longer face to face session to dive deep into a particular issue? We will discuss ideas and plan ahead of time to make the most of our session. These sessions can be from 1-3 hours, standard rates apply.

  • Are you on a waitlist for another therapist, but need immediate short term support? Get in touch with me to set up an appointment as soon as possible.

  • Looking for something different? Check out my other services at Heart Alchemy.

  • 50 minute session: $120. Sliding scale option, please inquire as needed.

I do not currently accept insurance; however, I do provide superbills for clients to receive out-of-network reimbursement directly from their insurance providers. I also offer a sliding scale option - please share with me if finances or lack of insurance are a barrier to receiving the support you need. I accept credit card and cash.

Juli Johnson, LPC, NCC

It's been a winding road to arrive at becoming a licensed counselor, full of adventures!

I received my BA in International Studies at the University of Denver, and from there I joined the U.S. Peace Corps for two years in a remote village in Romania.  Having had prior experience working in a mental health hospital, I sought to merge my interests of international studies with mental health, which took me to England to pursue a Master's of Science in War and Psychiatry at King's College London.  During my time in London I interned at a therapeutic center for refugees. I also worked at the Institute of Psychiatry as a research assistant, supporting a study exploring the impacts of trauma on Syrian refugee children.

After completing my degree, I began a career in humanitarian aid. I worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as Iraq to support programs providing essential services to communities impacted by conflict.  These experiences were very powerful, and I am so grateful for my time working in these regions.  However, while I was working in Iraq I knew it was time to more deeply pursue my passion for mental health, and I began working remotely on a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University.  I decided to move back to the U.S. to complete my degree and gain experience as a counselor.

I'm so thrilled to be on this journey with you!

Who Do I Work With?

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho, I work with those who live in Idaho as well as those who live internationally, as US licensure laws do not apply outside of the US.  If you live in the US but outside of Idaho, please contact me or visit Heart Alchemy to see my other services for coaching, guidance and healing.

I work with clients who are committed to self exploration and pursuit of growth, and are willing to face fears and obstacles holding them back from their goals and dreams.  I often provide suggestions for home practice and highly encourage personal exploration outside of counseling sessions, as that is where the real change happens.
